Who are we?

We exist to debate, discuss and deal with all issues relating to property that effect the prosperity of the City of York and its populous. We are not here to deal with individual grievances but to discuss policy, ideas and strategy that will assist York to prosper in the future. There are critical issues which are affecting our beautiful city such as how do we expand without destroying it; how do we ensure property development works for everyone, both financially and ascetically; how do we cater for the less well-off in society; how do we protect our beautiful city centre yet encourage new business to come to the city providing employment for everyone. We are a disparate mix of property professionals, solicitors, accountants, marketing agents, in fact there are members from all sources and walks of life, some have no interest in property whatsoever buy know that property is crucial for eth well being of the city. Everyone is invited to put forward ideas or to raise concerns, which if relevant will be raised with the necessary authorities or placed into the public eye for discussion. We link up with developers, property consultants, other property professionals, the City of York Council, Councillors, Chamber of Commerce, lobby groups etc to debate and discuss ideas and try to influence decision makers to make the decisions we believe are best for the City of York in the long term. This is done by open forum discussion, log chat, with everyone being allowed to make their case and working groups set up to deal with individual issues.

York Property Forum is obviously a useful way for the general public to access property expertise, whether that be development, builders, architects, Highways Consultants etc and to seek informal as well as formal views.
